The new laboratory building of LIP MaputoThe fish inspection laboratory of Maputo, belonging to INIP, just get the international accreditation thus becoming the 1st lab of a public institution to gain accreditation for testing of food.

The laboratory was audited on 1st June this year by the IPAC (Portuguese Institute of Accreditation) on the 27th of the same month received the assessment. The accreditation confirms that the laboratory operates according to ISO 17025:2005, proving to be competent to carry out their activities safely.Lab technicians working

Analyzes in accredited laboratories is a requirement for the most demanding markets. Thus it is guaranteed reliable results of laboratory tests and confidence of most demanding international markets.

LIP Audit meetingSeveral institutions have contributed to the attainment of accreditation through technical and financial support including: ICEIDA, INNOQ, UNIDO, DFID, Norway among others. The Ministry of Fisheries had a crucial role through the enhancement of accreditation of laboratories, supporting and creating conditions for technicians to dedicate themselves to activities aimed at achieving this goal.
